SEL COORDINATOR: Aspen Country Day School values the education of the whole child and is intentional in creating an environment in which children can learn to develop the communication skills, self-advocacy, and empathy essential to creating a thriving learning community. In addition to teachers who are both caring and supportive, ACDS has developed a class meeting structure facilitated by the Social/Emotional Learning coordinator to provide students with specific skills.

This is a part-time position. Successful candidates should have earned at least a Bachelor’s in counseling or related field, and be able to demonstrate experience in the successful delivery of social/emotional curriculum to elementary aged students. Responsibilities include:

      • Facilitating Lower School class meetings
      • Providing monthly parent talks to cultivate the school/parent partnership
      • Providing additional support to students when needed
      • Collaborating with middle school advisors and co-curricular teachers to ensure continuity of program.

LEGO ROBOTICS COACH: This is an afterschool program which requires a commitment to two days after school for two hours and time on weekends as necessary. The successful coach will have read the requirements for the competition and agree to guide a team through the planning, project, and competition phases of the First Lego League. This is a late summer through fall commitment.
