Third Grade teachers are responsible for developing and implementing lessons in Language Arts, Social Studies, and Mathematics, and successful candidates will have an understanding of each subject within the K-12 continuum to ensure continuity from grade level to grade level.  ACDS enrolls a broad range of learners, so teachers must understand varied learning profiles including students with challenges/limitations as well as talents/gifts, requiring the ability to successfully differentiate lessons and units for diverse learners. Candidates should embrace the family/school partnership and be effective in both oral and written communication. In addition, candidates must have a love of the outdoors and a desire to inspire students to develop the skills and respect necessary to become stewards of the natural world.

This is a one-year contract.

No additional positions are open at this time.

If you are considering relocating to Aspen for a job at Country Day or at any local employer, it is highly recommended that you carefully research the housing market and cost of living in this valley. The Roaring Fork Valley is a great place to live, but it is extremely expensive. Many job seekers are shocked by the difficulty of finding affordable housing and making ends meet in this resort economy.
