After Eighth Grade - Aspen Country Day School

After Eighth Grade

Aspen Country Day School graduates are ready for the journey ahead. With the confidence, resilience, and joy in learning that they build over their years here, they enter the high schools of their choice with a strong foundation for a bright future.

where do graduates go?

Every year is different, but in general, about a third of graduates choose local public high schools, a third choose independent day or boarding schools in Colorado, and a third choose national or international boarding schools. A nearby choice is Colorado Rocky Mountain School (CRMS), about 45 minutes away in Carbondale.

How we help students Choose A best-fit High School

Secondary school placement counseling is a service that Aspen Country Day School offers to all families. Head of School Josh Wolman meets with each family to establish a path for exploring all options. The school works hand in hand with students and parents throughout the process of researching, visiting, applying, and deciding about a high school choice.

Country Day has a strong track record in placement. Over the years, we have built relationships with the representatives of boarding and day schools nationwide, and an annual Boarding School Fair held here on campus has helped many families find a great match for high school.
