How to apply

Ready? Here are the steps

Step 1: Get started early

Applications are accepted throughout the year, but to receive priority consideration for the following school year, your application must be complete by mid February for the coming academic year.

Step 2: Inquiry

All families complete an inquiry form online. Fill out a separate form for each student. Once we have your completed form, we will contact you to schedule a visit and answer any questions.

Step 3: Campus tour

Country Day evaluates each student based on a personal interview and visit with parents or children. Depending on their age, children may spend a day at school, meet teachers, and visit with future classmates.

Step 4: Application

We require a formal application that includes a parent statement, academic records, teacher evaluations, and scores on tests already administered. This application is completed online. In accordance with our personal approach, our Admissions Committee considers each student individually, and there is no standardized entrance test required for our school. There is a $50 non-refundable application fee.

Step 5: Classroom visit

  • Students going into PreK to Third Grade: brief morning visit, with parents, in the classroom of their current grade
  • Students going into Fourth to Eighth Grade: full-day visit, without parents, in the classroom of their current grade

 Step 5: Review and inform

Application materials are reviewed by an admissions committee. Applicants whose completed application materials are received by the deadline of early February will be notified of admission by the first week in April.

Step 6: Enrollment

Once a student is invited to attend, an enrollment contract is offered. A signed contract and non-refundable deposit are required to hold a place in the class. Tuition is payable June 1.
