Rules of the road for pickup and dropoff
Posted 03/13/2016 05:13PM
Drivers: please obey these rules
for everyone at pickup and dropoff
1. NO LEFT TURN, EVER
As you drive down Music School Road, keep going straight to the far end of the circle. Always loop around the full circle, even if you plan to park, even if no one is there. Why: cars and kids exiting the parking lot can't see you around the corner.

2. PARENTS: IF YOU HAVE TO GET OUT of the car, PULL UP TO THE SIDEWALK
If you need to help your kids with gear or seatbelts, please wait in line until a space opens up next to the sidewalk. Pull up as far as you can, as close to the sidewalk as you can. A quick stop in the passing lane is ONLY for older kids who can get in and out of the car quickly without assistance. Why: other cars are waiting behind you.
3. WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE ALL YOUR CHILDREN READY
before you pull out of line at pickup
Waiting in line at the end of the day? Stay in the single-file line until you see ALL your children ready and waiting, together, on the sidewalk. Why: to keep the line moving.
