After Country Day
Families frequently ask whether Aspen Country Day School has a high school. Although the school once did continue through grade 12, it no longer does. Fortunately, our graduates have a wide range of choices for their secondary education, and they report being extremely well prepared, no matter which option they choose.
In most years our graduating Eighth Grade class moves on as follows:
- 50% to local public schools
- 50% to national boarding schools, Colorado boarding schools, or independent day schools around the nation.
About the nearby independent high school: Colorado Rocky Mountain School (CRMS) is a boarding school in Carbondale, about 45 minutes from Aspen. It welcomes students from all around the world, as well as many local students who either board full-time, board five days per week, or attend as day students. Click here to find out more about CRMS.
