National History Day presentations: Seventh Grade

Date: Thursday - February 23, 2017
Time: 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM
Location: ACDS Gymnasium
Seventh Graders: National History Day project presentations
Thursday, February 23, 11:15 am to 12:15 am
ACDS Gymnasium
Please join the Seventh Graders for their open historical exhibition for National History Day, Thursday, February 23, at 11:15 am in the ACDS gymnasium.

This is an annual competition for students across the country. The ACDS Seventh Grade participates in this nationwide event as a class. All students will be asked to participate at the local level, and any student who wishes will have the opportunity to compete at the regional level.

The Seventh Graders have been working hard on their projects, creating historical exhibits based on a topic related to this year's theme, Taking a Stand in History. NHD is a fun way to learn more about history and further develop the research and project presentation skills essential for success in high school and beyond. You will be fascinated by the wide range of topics they have chosen and the creativity in their presentations!

How can parents participate?
  • Come view the projects and see the results of your student's hard work next Thursday. We will be in the gym from 11:15 am for about one hour.
  • Interview a student. We will have interview sheets with some questions to ask the participants. This is not only interesting for the interviewers; it also gives the students valuable practice in delivering their presentations.
We can't wait to see you all!
