Castle Creek Trail meeting wants you

Wondering what's happening with the bike path idea?
Find out next Wednesday, November 15
bear on bike wcPerhaps you've recently seen engineers out on Castle Creek Road with their survey equipment. Pitkin County has been studying a possible bike trail along Castle Creek Road. Now the County is seeking your input on possible solutions.
If you are interested in a bike path or other safer options for travel along this busy road, please consider coming to a public meeting/open house Wednesday, November 15. Three alternatives -- including bike lanes, a trail on the west side of the road, and another on the river side -- are on the table. Which do you think will work best? Come find out more and add your voice to the process!

Traffic counts tallied bike, pedestrian, and vehicle trips along the stretch of Castle Creek nearing our campus in two recent weeks. This information and more details will be presented November 15.

Castle Creek Trail: Public Meeting and Open House

  • Where: Aspen City Council Chambers
  • When: drop in from 4:30-6:30 pm; presentation at 5 pm
  • What's next: community feedback, then possible construction of one of the options in the coming years
