Alumni Journeys
Tales of Aardvarks and their adventures in the wider world
Graduation 2017 was outside on the new turf this year on a beautiful early-June day. In his 18th visit to ACDS commencement, bagpiper Michael Lancaster led first the graduates, then the faculty to their seats on Reagan Field.

Then, in a new tradition added this year, PreKindergarten students each stepped up to present a rose to one of the graduates. This was a big moment for the little ones, just starting their journey at ACDS. Just think: in 10 years, they will have finished their ACDS journey and will receive their own rose from a PreK child of 2027!
Fourth and Fifth Graders honored the graduates with a song (My Wish) as did Seventh Graders (Blackbird). Graduates delivered the speeches they honed on their final outdoor ed trip in May, and then Head of School Josh Wolman and Trustee Chair Scott Russell presented diplomas to the 18 graduates. Congratulations!
